The BEST Water Bottle for Working Out- Takeya Thermoflask Water Bottle Review

In my profession as a trainer I'm always on the move and outside exercising in the hot heat, sometimes for multiple hours at a time. As you can imagine, it's extremely important to stay hydrated and to have a constant supply of cool water to drink. I have tried multiple water bottle brands in the past from Camelbacks to BKR, but none have lived up to all the hype. The water bottles I have used tend to sweat and leak, leaving your personal belongings wet. Some bottles don't provide a large enough opening for ice, so if your water isn't cold to begin with, your out of luck. To make matters even worse, most water bottles don't keep your water cold for more than an hour in hot conditions, even when pilled high with ice. I have even run into multiple instances where the bottles with the built in straws have squirted water all over me and others when on airplanes or in very hot conditions. The difference in pressure and heat makes them explode! Who knew water bottles needed to come with a WARNING label these days? Talk about embarrassing and a pain in the a@&!

Then the perfect water bottle was found!

As a result of the many frustrating reasons listed out above, I've searched long and hard to find a water bottle that actually stays cold, does not sweat, is durable, functional, fashionable, and affordable. I know you're thinking, "WOW, that's a lot to look for in a freaking water bottle!" But when you use one every day, a water bottle becomes just as important as the makeup or clothing that you wear.

Then a few weeks ago when I was wandering around the Idea World Fitness Conference in LA I found the perfect water bottle! The brand is Takeya, and it's a Thermoflask water bottle. Not only does it keep your water cold for 24 hours, but it also keeps liquids hot for 12 hours. I immediately loved that it had a large screw-off cap, making it easy to put ice into, and that it had a smaller screw top opening for drinking. Takeya water bottles also come in a variety of colors, and have a nifty handle on the side which makes it easy to carry around. However, the best part is that it's affordable! The largest water bottle, which is 40oz., costs only $34.99! The popular Swell brand costs at least double, retailing from $25 to $45 for a 9oz. to 25oz. Now that's expensive!

The true test-How did this water bottle really stand up?

Everything sounded great on paper, but being the natural skeptic that I can be at times, I decided to put the Takeya water bottle through the ultimate test. I took it to an all day music festival in the hot 90 degree sun (shown right). To my pleasant surprise, my water stayed cold the entire day! The handle made it super convenient to carry around, and it never leaked or sweat! Needless to say, I am IN LOVE with this water bottle and would highly reccomend it to anyone who wants a quality water bottle at a reasonable price.

In case you were wondering, I have not been paid by Takeya in any way to give this review. This water bottle is just that good that I decided to write an article about it. If you're looking for a water bottle that keeps your liquids for cold 24 hours (and hot for 12 hours), does not sweat or leak, is durable, easy to carry around, and cost less than $30, this is by far the best option I have seen so far. Hope you love it as much as I do!
